Meet the executive board

Below is our current Executive Board for the 2024-2025 school year. These eight young professionals are the hard-working undergraduate students who keep this organization running firmly.
James Taylor

President

Major: Sports Business

Favorite Sports Teams: San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, New York Knicks, Aston Villa 

Bio: James is a senior originally from Dallas, Texas. He most recently worked for the Arizona Diamondbacks as a member of their Business Support Team. Formerly, James was a tournament operations intern with the Junior Golf Association of Arizona, an Operations Intern with the Oakland Athletics Spring Training, and a Marketing and Game Presentation Intern with Sun Devil Athletics. James also served as the VP of Operations for SBA during the 2023-2024 school year. Upon graduation, James hopes to pursue a career in Partnership Marketing and Activations.

Major: Sports Business
Favorite Sports Team: Colorado Rockies
Bio: Campbell Leid is a senior from Denver, Colorado, majoring in Sports Business and minoring in Film and Media Production. Campbell is currently working as the Communication Intern for Junior Golf Association of Arizona after serving as the ASU Women’s Lacrosse Manager for the 23-24 season. Campbell is also an active member of adWorks, a student-run advertising agency and student leader for Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This past summer, Campbell studied abroad in Madrid at Universidad Europea Real Madrid and worked with Arowana Sports (a local agency) and the Federación de Baloncesto de Madrid (Madrid Basketball Federation). In her free time, you will likely find Campbell with a camera in her hand, rowing, traveling, and exploring outdoors, likely by the water! Following graduation, Campbell’s dream job? To work for the USOPC or as a Brand Manager, amplifying athlete voices and stories. 
Bryant Baidowsky

Vice President of Finance

Major: Sports Business and Financial Planning
Favorite sports teams: New York Knicks
Bio: Bryant is a senior from New York / New Jersey in Barrett, The Honors College pursuing degrees in Sports Business and Financial Planning. Over the summer, Bryant worked as a Player Marketing Associate with AP Brand Group. He is currently a Corporate Partnerships Intern with Sun Devil Athletics. His previous experience includes working as the Program Coordinator with Transports Global for the Jordan Brand during the WNBA All-Star Weekend, a Final Four Ambassador, a Day of Game Staff Intern with the San Francisco Giants, and working Super Bowl LVII. Outside of SBA, Bryant is a Sports Business Scholar and is also an active member of the Asian Business Leaders Association. Being from New York, he bleeds blue and orange and aspires to work in Talent and Athlete Management in the Big Apple.

 

Lauren Towne

Lauren Towne

Vice President of Member & Alumni Relations

 

Majors: Sports Business (Certificate: Sports Culture and Ethics)

Favorite sports teams: Philadelphia Eagles

Bio: Lauren Towne is a senior at Arizona State University, studying sports business with a certificate in sports culture and ethics at the WP Carey School of Business. Born and raised in Chandler, Arizona, Lauren was always destined to be a Sun Devil. She is currently an event coordinator at State Farm Stadium, where she has had hands-on experience working on major events like the Final Four and Copa America.

In the past, Lauren interned with the Arizona Cardinals as a Game Day Operations Intern for the 2022-2023 NFL season and even got to work at Super Bowl LVII. She was also a student manager for the ASU baseball team during the 2022-2023 season and worked as an administrative employee for Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC), an event and security staff company that handles events ranging from Mullett Arena to the Super Bowl. Her most recent internship was with the Junior Golf Association of Arizona as an operations intern during the summer of 2024, working on 15 junior golf tournaments throughout the state, including two USGA Junior Amateur Qualifiers, 30 rounds of golf, and 2,000 junior golfers.

Outside of SBA, Lauren is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and actively participates in multiple committees. She is the oldest of three, with a younger sister who’s a freshman at the school down south and a brother who’s a junior at a high school not far from Tempe.

In the future, Lauren hopes to work for a baseball team, potentially in partnerships or player development, where she can create long-lasting relationships with clients and/or players.

 

Haleigh Oleson

Favorite Sports Team: Milwaukee Brewers
Bio: Haleigh Oleson is from Pulaski, Wisconsin, and is a Sophomore at the W.P. Carey School of Business. Because of SBA, Haleigh has received two internship opportunities with the Oakland Athletics and the Green Bay Rockers. Outside of SBA, Haleigh is a part of the Sports Business Scholars and Women’s Business Leaders Association. She also enjoys working out, reading, spending time outside, and being with family and friends. Haleigh is excited to meet new members of SBA this year and grow her knowledge of the sports business. In the future, she would like to work for a professional baseball team in either marketing or event operations.

Aaron Rothman

Aaron Rothman

Vice President of Outreach

Major: Sports Business 
Favorite Sports Team: Los Angeles Rams
Bio: As the newly elected VP of Outreach, Aaron Rothman is focused on making this
year’s Sports Business Symposium and Outreach trip to Chicago fun, memorable and
valuable for all students. Aaron is a senior this year at ASU. It took Aaron awhile to nail
down his career direction in sports business, but once he tapped into his passion for
sports and events, he never looked back. Aaron is from San Clemente and a transfer
student from Saddleback College, both located in Southern California. Aaron had to dig
deep and researched eight colleges across the country before choosing Arizona State
as his Alma Mater. Since joining SBA, Aaron has participated in numerous SBA events
and has volunteered for special events in and around the Phoenix area. Some of his
favorites were volunteering for the Final Four, the WNBA Allstar Weekend and attending
local outreach trips to professional sports organizations around Phoenix. Aaron has
come to love Arizona and is serious about staying in the Phoenix area after he
graduates if he can secure a career position in event management. Aaron is looking to
have a fantastic year with SBA and is looking to help as many members with their
career goals as he can. He also looks to continue to create opportunities to further their
knowledge, meet new professionals and have a great time enjoying the journey as VP
of Outreach for the 2024-2025 year.
Ciera Howse

Vice President of Social Events

Major: Sports Business 
Favorite Sports Team: Miami Dolphins
Bio: Ciera is from Vacaville, California and is a Senior at the W.P. Carey School of Business. Outside of SBA, she previously served as a Spirit, Pride, and Tradition Intern for Undergraduate Student Government, and was a part of the Spirit Squad for 3 years. She has also worked as a Game Day Intern for Sun Devil Athletics, and is a member of Alpha Phi. In February, she attended the Outreach Trip in New York City which is what inspired her to run for a position on the executive board. She grew up doing a variety of sports including gymnastics, volleyball, basketball, cross country, and cheerleading. She loves the sense of community and camaraderie that sports brings, which continues to fuel her passion to pursue a career in sports one day. In her free time, she loves to travel, workout, and make people smile! She looks forward to organizing social events to bring together new and current members who are committed to supporting the bright future SBA holds for all! After graduation, she aspires to move to a big city and work in either local government or for a professional sports team.
