Old Volunteer Opportunities

Coyotes Game 50/50 Raffle

INFO:
The game is Saturday, April 6th against the Colorado Avalanche with a start time of 6:00 p.m.  The Coyotes will let us know exactly when the volunteers need to arrive, but my bet is they will need to get to the arena 60-90 minutes before the start of the game.
There are two small perqs for volunteers–a PCA t-shirt and the chance to watch the end of the hockey game.  We will be selling raffle tickets before the game and through the first two periods.  After checking in their money at the beginning of the 3rd period, the volunteers can watch the rest of the game.  If the game is not sold out, we will get a ticket for an unsold seat.  If it is a sell-out, we will be able to watch the game from the standing room only areas

Diamond Dollar Case Competition
The 2nd Annual Diamond Dollars Case Competition, being held this upcoming March 7-9, is currently accepting applications to participate. Undergraduate, graduate and law school students from colleges and universities across the country will be competing against each other by preparing an analysis and presentation of a baseball operations decision — the type of decision a team’s GM and his staff is faced with over the course of a season. Five-person teams of students will be asked to evaluate proposed player transactions, apply statistical analysis of player performance and assess the financial impact of the team’s proposed moves. As a case competition participant, you would be entitled to attend, at no additional charge, SABR’s Baseball Analytics Conference–3 days of expert panels, guest speakers, research presentations, and networking events.
